CPL is shareholder in Heavy Electrical Complex which has been setup in technical collaboration with manufacturers of international repute, to manufacture electrical equipment mainly used in 132KV and 66KV sub-stations and grid-stations of high voltage power supply systems. The works is located in Hattar Industrial Estate in the Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at a distance of 66KM from the country's capital, Islamabad. The total Factory and is about 33 Hectares where's the area presently covered by the Factory Building is about 25,500 square metres. Heavy Electrical complex (HEC) is the only manufacturing facility of its kind in Pakistan, which is in a position to make an effective contribution towards the implementation of the country's energy development program.

HEC also specializes in the repair of Power Transformers in the range of 250MVA, 132/220/S00KVand offers its clients, repair facilities, assistance in installation and commissioning of the equipment and diagnostic inspection and testing of damaged transformers at site.
